September 27, 2023 - Before you buy, plan out how you are going to use the alternative power supplied by your solar generator. You have a choice of putting together a single solar generator like the Delta Max 2000 and extra batteries to give you enough wattage to provide power to a lot of different items in your home. You might want to think about where all those items are. Unless you use a transfer switch into your electrical panel you will need to run electrical cords from the generator to each of the items you wish to keep running. Are most of these items in the kitchen? Maybe some are in the bedroom, den or computer room. You may even have a chest freezer or refrigerator in your garage or basement. Instead of having a lot of generator power in one place, you might choose to have a Delta Max 2000 in the house and another one in the garage or basement.
You know the layout of your home and the rooms where your electrical devices are located. You may even decide that you don't need some of your items during a power outage. If you have two separate units you will have to charge both of them.
I keep my solar generator on a rolling cart and just recently I simply rolled it into the kitchen by the refrigerator and plugged the fridge into it while the power was off for about three hours.
